In the latest version of iOS, Apple has made it easier to blur your background while making a FaceTime call. With the new feature, you can now easily blur out anything happening behind you, giving you a more professional and focused appearance during important calls. In this article, we’ll go over the steps to blur your background on a FaceTime call in iOS 15.

Step 1: Start a FaceTime call

Firstly, make sure that your device is running on the latest version of iOS 15. Once you’re ready to start your call, open the FaceTime app and select the person you want to call. Once connected, the video call window will open up on your screen.

Step 2: Tap on the blur button

Once the video call begins, look for the new “blur” button located at the bottom of the screen. This button will appear as a circle with a slash through it. Simply tap on this button to activate the background blur feature.

Step 3: Enjoy your blurred background

As soon as you tap on the blur button, FaceTime will automatically blur out the background behind you. This feature works really well and in will effectively blur out anything that’s happening behind you, making sure that you are the main focus during your video calls.

It’s worth noting that if you move during the call, the blur will shift accordingly, so as to keep you in focus. And if you want to turn off the feature at any point, simply tap on the button again to disable the background blur.

Conclusion

There you have it, a step-by-step guide on how to blur your background on a FaceTime call in iOS 15. With this feature, you can now present a more polished and professional appearance during video calls, regardless of what’s happening behind you.
