WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, with over 2 billion active users. However, sometimes you may want to block or unblock a contact on WhatsApp for various reasons. In this article, we will guide you on how to block or unblock a WhatsApp contact.

How to Block a WhatsApp Contact

Blocking a contact on WhatsApp is a simple process. Follow the steps below:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the chat screen.

2. Find the contact you wish to block.

3. Tap and hold on the contact’s name.

4. Tap on the “Block” option.

5. A confirmation message will appear, tap on “Block” again to confirm.

Once you have blocked a contact, they will no longer be able to send you messages, call you, or see your profile

picture and status updates. They will also be removed from your contact list.

How to Unblock a WhatsApp Contact

If you have blocked a contact on WhatsApp and wish to unblock them, follow the steps below:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the chat screen.

2. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner.

3. Tap on “Settings” and then “Account”.

4. Tap on “Privacy” and then “Blocked Contacts”.

5. Find the contact you wish to unblock and tap on their name.

6. Tap on “Unblock” and confirm.

Once you have unblocked a contact, you will be able to receive messages and calls from them, and they will be added back to your contact list.

Conclusion

Blocking or unblocking a contact on WhatsApp is a simple process that can be done in a few clicks. If you are experiencing harassment or unwanted messages from a contact, blocking them is a good option to maintain your privacy and peace of mind. Conversely, if you wish to reconnect with a previously blocked contact, unblocking them is just as easy.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
