Microsoft Edge is a popular web browser that comes pre-installed with Windows 10. One of the most important features of a web browser is the ability to save and manage your favorite websites. Edge allows you to do just that, and it’s important to know how to back up your favorites in case you need to switch devices or accidentally lose them. In this article, we’ll show you how to backup your Microsoft Edge Favorites.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge and Click on Settings

To backup your Microsoft Edge favorites, the first step is to open the browser and click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the window. In the menu that appears, click on the “Settings” option.

Step 2: Select “Profiles”

Once you’re in the settings menu, click on the “Profiles” tab on the left-hand side of the window. If you have multiple profiles, make sure to select the one you want to back up the favorites for.

Step 3: Click on “Favorites”

Under the “Profiles” tab, click on the “Favorites” option. This will bring up a list of all the favorite websites that you’ve saved in Edge.

Step 4: Click on “Manage Favorites”

Next, click on the “Manage Favorites” button at the top of the screen. This will open up a new window that displays all of your saved favorites.

Step 5: Export your Favorites

To back up your favorites, click on the “Export to file” button located at the bottom of the “Manage Favorites” window. This will save all of your favorites in a single file that you can easily transfer to another device or save for later use.

Step 6: Save the Backup File

In the “Export Favorites” window that pops up, choose a location on your computer to save the backup file. It’s important to choose a location that’s easy to remember so that you can easily find the file later on. Once you’ve chosen a location, click on the “Save” button to save the file.

As you can see, backing up Microsoft Edge favorites is a simple and straightforward process. Remember to backup your favorites regularly to ensure that you never lose them. Here’s a recap of the steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the window.

2. Click on “Settings” and select the “Profiles” tab.

3. Click on “Favorites” and then “Manage Favorites”.

4. Click on “Export to file” and choose a location to save the backup file.

5. Finally, click “Save” to save the backup file.

By following these steps, you can easily back up your Microsoft Edge favorites and keep them safe and secure.
