The NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error is one of the most common blue screen errors seen in Windows, and it can be caused by a variety of issues. When this error is encountered, the computer will display a blue screen and automatically restart. This can be frustrating for many users, and they may wonder how they can fix this error.

Fortunately, there are a few things that users can do to troubleshoot and fix the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error. Here, we will take a look at some of the most effective ways to fix this error.

1. Update Windows and Drivers

one of the most common reasons for the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error is outdated or corrupted drivers. To fix this error, make sure that all drivers and Windows updates are up to date. This can be done by going to the Windows settings and checking for updates. Users should also ensure that all device drivers are up to date by visiting the manufacturers’ websites and downloading the latest drivers.

2. Run a System File Checker

Another way to fix the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error is by running a System File Checker (SFC) scan. This can be done by opening the Command Prompt as an administrator and typing the “sfc /scannow” command. This will scan the computer for any corrupted system files and repair them. Once the scan is complete, restart the computer and see if the error is fixed.

3. Run Check Disk

Users can also run a Check Disk (CHKDSK) scan to fix the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error. This can be done by opening the Command Prompt and typing the “chkdsk /f /r” command. This will scan the computer for any disk errors and repair them. Once the scan is complete, restart the computer and see if the error is fixed.

4. Use System Restore

if the above methods do not fix the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error, users can try using the System Restore feature. This will allow users to restore the computer to a previous point in time when the error was not present. To do this, go to the Windows settings and navigate to the “Recovery” section. Click on “Open System Restore” and select a restore point before the error occurred.

In conclusion, the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error can be frustrating, but there are several ways to fix it. Users can update Windows and drivers, run a System File Checker or Check Disk scan, and use System Restore to restore the computer to a previous point in time. By following these steps, users can fix the NTOSKRNL.EXE blue screen error and prevent it from occurring in the future.
