Organizing your Android apps can be a daunting task, especially if you have hundreds of apps installed on your device. The default app drawer on Android allows you to arrange apps as per your preference, but if you want to alphabetize your apps, you need to take a few extra steps. Here, we’ll guide you through the process of alphabetizing your Android apps.

Step 1: Open the app drawer

To open the app drawer on your Android device, simply swipe up from the home screen or tap on the app drawer icon (usually a circle with six dots) in your dock.

Step 2: Access the “Edit” option

Once you’re on the app drawer, you will see a vertical line of three dots (⋮) in the upper right corner of the screen. Tap on those dots to access the “Edit” option.

Step 3: Sort apps

After tapping on the “Edit” option, you will see a menu that displays multiple options, including “Sort apps.” Tap on “Sort apps” to open the sorting options.

Step 4: Select Alphabetical Order

In the sorting options, you will find various options such as custom order, alphabetical order, and installation time. Tap on “Alphabetical order,” which will sort all your apps alphabetically.

Step 5: Done!

Once you’ve selected “Alphabetical order,” your apps will be automatically arranged from A to Z. You can always go back and change the sorting order by following the same process.

Conclusion

Organizing your Android apps alphabetically can help you quickly find the app you’re looking for, especially when you have a lot of apps installed. Follow these simple steps outlined above, and you’ll have your apps neatly arranged in alphabetical order. By keeping your apps organized, you’ll save time scrolling through pages and pages of icons and increase your productivity on your device.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
