Adding a friend code on your Nintendo 3DS is a simple process that can help you connect with your friends and play games together. A friend code is a unique code assigned to each Nintendo 3DS system and used to identify and add friends. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of adding a friend code on your Nintendo 3DS.

Step 1: Go to the Home Menu

Power on your Nintendo 3DS and navigate to the Home Menu by pressing the home button. The home button is located on the bottom left of your device’s touch screen.

Step 2: Select the Friend List

On the Home Menu, you will see multiple icons. Scroll to the orange smiley-faced icon labeled “Friend List” and select it.

Step 3: Select “Add Friend”

On the Friend List screen, you will see your current friend list and an option to add a new friend. Select “Add Friend” to proceed.

Step 4: Choose “Internet”

You will see two options for adding a friend: “Local” and “Internet”. Choose “Internet” to add a friend who is not in the same room as you.

Step 5: Enter Your Friend’s Code

Your friend should have already given you their friend code. On the “Enter Friend Code” screen, enter the 12-digit code provided by your friend. Press “Next” to proceed.

Step 6: Confirm the Friend Code

Before the friend code is added to your friend list, you will be asked to confirm it. If the code is correct, select “Yes” to add your friend’s code to your friend list.

Step 7: Wait for the Friend Request to be Accepted

Once you’ve entered your friend’s code and confirmed it, you will need to wait for your friend to accept your friend request. When your friend accepts your request, you will receive a notification.

Step 8: Start Playing Together

Once your friend has accepted your friend request, you are ready to start playing games together! You can play together online or use local wireless to connect your devices.

In conclusion, adding a friend code on your Nintendo 3DS is quick and easy. By following the steps outlined above, you can connect with your friends and start playing games together. With so many games available on the Nintendo 3DS, having friends to play with will make your gaming experience even more enjoyable.
