How to Access Your Google Drive Account on Ubuntu

Google Drive is a cloud storage service that allows users to store and share files online. It is a very popular service offered by Google, and many people use it to back up their important documents and files. If you are using Ubuntu operating system and wondering how to access your Google Drive account, then you have come to the right place. In this article, we will show you how to access your Google Drive account on Ubuntu.

Step 1: Install the Required Packages

The first step in accessing your Google Drive account on Ubuntu is to install the required packages. Open the terminal window and run the following command to install the packages.

$ sudo apt-get install gnome-control-center gnome-online-accounts

Step 2: Add Your Google Account

After installing the required packages, you need to add your Google account to your Ubuntu system. Open the “Settings” application, click on “Online Accounts” and then click on the “Google” option.

Next, enter your Google account email and password in the provided fields and click “Sign in.” Once you have successfully signed in to your Google account, you will see a list of services that you can access from Ubuntu.

Step 3: Enable Google Drive Sync

To enable the Google Drive sync, click on the “Google Drive” option and then toggle on the “Files” option. Once you have done that, Ubuntu will automatically start syncing your Google Drive files to your local Ubuntu system.

Step 4: Access Your Google Drive Files

After enabling the Google Drive sync, your Google Drive files will be available locally on your Ubuntu system. You can access your files by clicking on the “Files” application and then navigating to the “Google Drive” folder.

Alternatively, you can also access your Google Drive files from the terminal window by navigating to the “Google Drive” directory.

$ cd ~/Google\ Drive
