Fun Ways to Use NFC on Your Android

Near-field communication (NFC) allows for contactless communication between devices, making it an excellent technology for modern smartphones. NFC on your Android can be used for numerous purposes, such as making payments or transferring files, but that’s not all it can do. In this article, we will look at some fun ways to use NFC on your Android device.

  1. Create NFC Tags

You can use NFC on your Android device to create tags that activate certain functions or trigger specific actions. For instance, you can create an NFC tag that switches your phone to silent mode when tapped, or one that launches your favorite app when you place your phone on it. To do this, you’ll need to purchase NFC tags online and download an NFC tag writer app. Once you’ve written your desired action to a tag, you can place it wherever you like and tap your device to activate the feature.

  1. Play Games

NFC-enabled games are gaining popularity among Android users. In NFC-enabled games, players use NFC tags to gain access to specific levels or items in the game. For instance, you can use an NFC tag to unlock new levels, get bonus coins, or activate power-ups. One of the most popular NFC-enabled games is “Invizimals,” which allows players to collect virtual creatures by scanning NFC cards that come with the game. Other popular NFC games include Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Mighty Beanz.

  1. Share Contacts and Photos

NFC makes it easy to share contacts and photos between two Android devices quickly. If you’re at a party or a meeting and meet someone new, you can quickly share your contact information with them by tapping your two NFC-enabled devices together. Similarly, you can share photos by tapping your phone to another person’s NFC-enabled device. This technology is a faster and more convenient way to share information than using Bluetooth or email.

  1. Business Cards

NFC-enabled business cards are gaining traction as a modern and innovative way of sharing contact information. Rather than handing out a traditional business card, business people can create an NFC-enabled card. When tapped, the card transfers the user’s contact information directly to the recipient’s phone. These cards are not only convenient but are also a more eco-friendly way of sharing contact information.

Conclusion

NFC technology has revolutionized the way we interact with our smartphones. From making payments to playing games, this technology has become an essential part of our daily lives. The above fun ways of using NFC on your Android are only a fraction of all the possible applications of NFC technology. With the right apps and imagination, you can use NFC to make your life more convenient and interesting.
