Discovery Plus Sharing: How Many People Can Watch at the Same Time?

Discovery Plus is a relatively new streaming service that offers a vast library of content. From original shows and documentaries to classic content from Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, and more. It’s no surprise that many families and groups of friends are interested in subscribing to this platform. But a common question is, how many people can watch Discovery Plus at the same time?

Currently, Discovery Plus allows up to four concurrent streams with just one subscription. This means that four different people can watch four different shows or movies at the same time, without any issues, as long as they are using different devices to stream.

One advantage of this limit, compared to other streaming services, is that it is not dependent on different subscription tiers. The number of simultaneous streams is the same, regardless of whether you are paying for the basic or the premium plan.

However, to ensure that every user receives the best possible streaming experience, Discovery Plus also has limits on the number of total devices that can be linked to your account. Currently, you can link a maximum of ten devices to your Discovery Plus account, and new devices can be added as needed.

One crucial thing to keep in mind is that even though four people can be streaming simultaneously, the content catalog may differ depending on the version of Discovery Plus they are using. For example, if two people are watching the same show at the same time, they may be seeing different episodes if they are using different countries’ Discovery Plus versions.

In conclusion, Discovery Plus allows up to four people to stream content simultaneously using one account, and up to ten devices can be linked to one account. These limits are fixed, regardless of the plan you’ve signed up for. With this in mind, Discovery Plus provides great value for families or groups of friends who want to watch their favorite shows and movies at the same time.
