Days gone is an action-adventure survival game developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game takes place after a global pandemic which has wiped out most of the population, and turned the survivors into zombie-like creatures called Freakers. Players assume the role of Deacon St. John, a former highwayman turned bounty hunter who is trying to find his way in this dangerous new world.

Gameplay

Days Gone features an open-world gameplay system, allowing players to explore a vast post-apocalyptic world while engaging in various missions and side quests. The game’s combat system is intense and varied, as players can use firearms, melee weapons, and traps to take down the Freakers and other human enemies they encounter. The game also has a day and night cycle, which affects the behavior of the Freakers, making them more aggressive at night.

Graphics

One of the most impressive aspects of Days Gone is its graphics. The game’s world is stunningly realistic, with amazing landscapes and character models. The use of weather effects and lighting also adds a layer of realism to the game, making the world feel more alive and immersive.

Storyline

The storyline of Days Gone is engaging and well thought out, featuring both suspenseful and emotional moments. As players progress through the game, they uncover more about Deacon’s past and the events that led to the pandemic. The game’s narrative is complemented by a strong cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and motivations.

Pros

-Engaging storyline with strong character development
-Intense combat system with a variety of options
-Vast and immersive post-apocalyptic world
-Stunning graphics and weather effects

Cons

-Slow start with a tutorial-heavy beginning
-Missions and side quests can feel repetitive at times
-Some technical issues, including occasional framerate drops and glitches

Overall, Days Gone is a thrilling post-apocalyptic adventure that will keep players engaged from start to finish. While it may have a slow start and some technical issues, the game’s compelling storyline, intense combat system, and stunning graphics more than make up for it. Fans of the zombie genre and open-world games should definitely give Days Gone a try.
