Few things bring people together like good food and great memories, and the delicious taste of Old Bay Shrimp Quesadillas can do just that. The rich, savory Old Bay seasoning has been a staple in American cuisine for decades. Combine this classic seasoning with tender shrimp and cheesy quesadillas, and you’ve got a winning recipe perfect for every occasion. In this article, we’ll guide you step-by-step through the ultimate Old Bay Shrimp Quesadillas recipe.

Ingredients:

– 1 pound medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 small onion, diced

– 1 red bell pepper, diced

– 1 jalapeño pepper, minced (optional)

– 4 cups shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese

– 8 large flour tortillas

– Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole for serving

Instructions:

1. Prepare your shrimp: Combine the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning in a bowl. Make sure each shrimp is evenly coated with the seasoning.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil to the heated skillet and wait for it to sizzle.

3. Cook the shrimp: Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for approximately two minutes per side, until they’re opaque and fully cooked through. Remove the cooked shrimp from the skillet and set it aside.

4. In the same skillet, add diced onions, red bell peppers, and jalapeño if desired. Cook for approximately five minutes until vegetables are softened.

5. Preheat another large non-stick skillet (or griddle) over medium-low heat.

6. Assemble your quesadillas: On one side of a flour tortilla, layer shredded cheese, cooked vegetables, shrimp, then more cheese. Fold the tortilla over, pressing gently to ensure the filling is evenly distributed.

7. Cook the quesadillas: Place each assembled quesadilla on the preheated skillet or griddle. Cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

8. Cut and serve: Allow the cooked quesadillas to cool slightly before cutting them into wedges. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side for dipping.

And that’s it! You now have a delicious Old Bay Shrimp Quesadillas recipe to impress your family and friends. This versatile dish goes well with a side salad or corn on the cob. So gather everyone, and savor the classic taste of Old Bay Shrimp Quesadillas at your next gathering.
