Introduction:

Antipasto squares are a delightful and tasty appetizer perfect for gatherings, picnics, or just as a flavorful snack. Combining the finest Italian ingredients into a mouth-watering, savory dish, these squares will have your taste buds begging for more. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to create the best antipasto squares, offering tips and tricks along the way.

Ingredients:

– 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls

– 1/4 pound sliced provolone cheese

– 1/4 pound sliced salami

– 1/4 pound sliced ham

– 1/4 pound sliced pepperoni

– 1 cup sliced roasted red peppers, drained and patted dry

– 1 cup sliced pepperoncini, drained and patted dry

– 4 large eggs

– 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– A pinch of black pepper

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish. Ensure that all seams are pinched together well, creating a single sheet of dough that covers the entire base.

3. Layer half of the provolone cheese over the dough, followed by layers of salami, ham, and pepperoni.

4. Next, add an even layer of roasted red peppers across the meat layers. Make sure they are well-drained to avoid adding excess moisture to the dish.

5. Add an even layer of pepperoncini on top of the red peppers.

6. After ensuring that all previous layers are flat and even, top with the remaining provolone cheese.

7. Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the stacked ingredients, stretching and pinching the seams as needed to create a single sheet that covers the entire dish.

8. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined.

9. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top layer of crescent dough, ensuring that it seeps through any small seams and holes to reach the squares’ bottom layers.

10. Bake in preheated oven for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. You can test doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean or with only a few crumbs attached, your antipasto squares are ready.

11. Allow your antipasto squares to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into squares and serving warm or at room temperature.

Conclusion:

With this delicious recipe in hand, you’ll be well on your way to creating delectable antipasto squares that will impress friends and family alike. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different ingredients or adjust the proportions based on your preferences – just always remember to layer evenly and drain any moisture from wet ingredients
