Apple has recently introduced a new feature called SharePlay that allows users to watch, listen, and share content simultaneously with friends and family. SharePlay is designed to enhance the social experience of using Apple devices and improve the way people interact over the internet. In this article, we will go over what SharePlay is and how to use it.

What is Apple SharePlay?

SharePlay is a new feature on Apple devices that allows users to share their phone or tablet screen with friends while on a video call. With SharePlay, users can watch movies, stream music, or play games together, all while being on the same call. This is made possible through the use of Apple’s screen sharing technology and a new API that developers can use to integrate their apps with SharePlay.

How to Use Apple SharePlay

Using SharePlay is relatively simple. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: First, make sure all participants have the latest version of their respective Apple devices.

Step 2: Next, make a video or audio call to the person or group you want to share content with on FaceTime.

Step 3: Swipe up the control center on your Apple device to reveal the SharePlay option.

Step 4: Select the content you want to share, such as a movie or album from Apple’s media library or an app that is integrated with SharePlay.

Step 5: Click the SharePlay button and your friends will get a notification that you are starting to share your content.

Step 6: Everyone on the call will be able to watch, listen, and interact with the shared content in real-time.

Step 7: To stop sharing, simply click the SharePlay button again.

What Content Can be Shared with Apple SharePlay?

SharePlay supports a wide range of content types, including movies, TV shows, music, and games. Apple’s media library is integrated with SharePlay, so you can share any of the content you’ve purchased or subscribed to. Additionally, many third-party apps have also integrated SharePlay support, so you can share your favorite shows, music, or games with your friends.

The Bottom Line

Apple SharePlay is a fantastic way to enjoy content with friends and family regardless of geographical location. It’s an exciting new feature that has quickly gained popularity among Apple users, and it’s not difficult to see why. With SharePlay, you get the best of both worlds; you can catch up with your loved ones while enjoying your favorite movies, songs, and games together. So, next time you are on a FaceTime call, give SharePlay a try, and have some fun.
