After Delaying ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ For Quality Concerns, Ubisoft Wants At Least 2 ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Games Per Year

Ubisoft‘s ambition for their flagship “Assassin’s Creed” franchise is growing, even after facing recent criticism for quality concerns. The company has announced their desire to release at least two “Assassin’s Creed” games per year moving forward.

This ambitious plan comes on the heels of the delayed release of “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows,” which was pushed back to ensure a polished and enjoyable experience for players. The decision, while acknowledging the importance of quality, also underscores the company’s desire to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the franchise.

While some fans have expressed concerns about the potential for rushed development and a decline in quality, Ubisoft insists that the planned increased output will not compromise their commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.

The company is reportedly exploring various approaches to achieve this ambitious goal. One potential solution is the development of smaller, standalone titles that focus on specific historical settings or characters, complementing the larger, flagship releases.

This strategy would allow Ubisoft to diversify the “Assassin’s Creed” experience while maintaining the core elements of the franchise that have captivated players for over a decade. However, the success of this ambitious plan hinges on careful planning and execution, ensuring that the increased volume of releases does not come at the expense of quality.

Ultimately, the future of “Assassin’s Creed” lies in Ubisoft’s ability to balance ambition with quality, ensuring that the franchise continues to thrive while delivering engaging and memorable experiences for players.
