AirPlay is a great technology that allows you to stream content from your iPhone to other compatible devices like Mac, Apple TV, or speakers. AirPlay to Mac is a feature that many iPhone users love since it enables them to mirror or extend their iPhone’s screen on their Mac. This article will guide you on how to AirPlay to Mac from iPhone.

1. Check your devices

Before you start, make sure that your iPhone and MacBook are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You can check this by ensuring that both devices have the same Wi-Fi name in their settings. Also, ensure that your MacBook is running on macOS 10.8 or later since this is the minimum requirement for AirPlay.

2. Enable AirPlay on your Mac

To use AirPlay on your Mac, you need to enable it. Click on the Apple menu on your MacBook, select “System Preferences” and then click on “Displays”. Next, click on the “AirPlay Display” dropdown and choose “On.” Also, enable “Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available.”

3. AirPlay from your iPhone

Now that your Mac is ready for AirPlay, it is time to start AirPlay from your iPhone. Swipe upwards from the bottom of your iPhone screen to access the Control Center. Tap on the “Screen Mirroring” icon (it looks like a triangle enclosed in a rectangle). You should see your MacBook name listed under “AirPlay and Bluetooth devices”. Tap on it, and within a few seconds, your iPhone screen will appear on your MacBook display.

4. Configure your AirPlay options

Once your iPhone’s screen is mirrored on your MacBook, there are several options you can customize. Click on the AirPlay icon on your MacBook’s menu bar to access these options. From there, you can choose to mirror or extend your iPhone’s display on your MacBook, set the resolution, and adjust the volume.

5. Disconnect AirPlay

Once you are done with AirPlay, you can easily disconnect by returning to the Control Center, tapping on the “Screen Mirroring” icon, and choosing “Disconnect.” Alternatively, click on the “AirPlay” icon on your MacBook’s menu bar and select “Disconnect AirPlay Display.”

In conclusion, AirPlay is an excellent technology that allows you to stream content from your iPhone to other compatible devices like a Mac. By following these simple steps, you too can AirPlay to Mac from iPhone and enjoy a more immersive experience.
