6 Ways to Send Email on Android

Introduction:

Sending emails on an Android device has become an essential part of everyday communication. Whether you’re sending work emails, keeping in touch with friends, or sharing interesting content, knowing the best ways to send emails using your Android device can make your life easier and more efficient. In this article, we will explore six different ways to send email on Android.

1. Gmail App:

Gmail is a free email service offered by Google and is the most popular solution for Android devices. The Gmail app is pre-installed on almost every Android device, making it a convenient option for users. To send an email through the Gmail app, simply open the app, tap the compose button (a red ‘+’ sign at the bottom right of the screen), enter your recipient’s email address, subject line, and email content, then hit send.

2. Outlook App:

Outlook is the official email client from Microsoft and supports various mail services like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Exchange based accounts. If you use Outlook for work or personal purposes on your desktop or laptop computer, syncing your account with the Outlook app on your Android device can streamline your digital communication. Download the Outlook app from Google Play Store if it’s not pre-installed on your device and configure your accounts. When you want to send an email message, just open the app, hit ‘Compose,’ fill in necessary details, and send it off.

3. Third-Party Apps – BlueMail and Spark:

There are many third-party email clients available for Android smartphones that offer advanced features and customizability beyond Gmail or Outlook apps. Two popular options are BlueMail and Spark Mail. Both apps support multiple email accounts from various providers and come equipped with smart features such as unified inbox capabilities and effective spam filters.

4. Text-to-Email Apps – Voice Assistant:

You can also use voice assistants like Google Assistant or Bixby Voice (Samsung’s voice assistant) to send emails hands-free on your Android device. To send an email, simply activate your device’s voice assistant and say, “send an email to [recipient’s name].” The assistant will ask for the email subject and content, and when the information is provided, it will send the email.

5. Web Browsers:

If you prefer not to use a dedicated email app, you can access your email account through a web browser on your Android device. Open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), sign in to your email account using the provider’s web interface (e.g., gmail.com or outlook.com), compose your message as usual, and hit ‘Send.’

6. Direct Share via Other Apps:

If you want to share content such as images, documents, or texts with someone via email quickly, you can use the Android ‘Share’ feature available in most apps. Choose the content you want to share, tap the ‘Share’ icon/button and select your preferred email app (e.g., Gmail or Outlook). This will create a new email draft with the shared content attached or included. Add necessary recipient information and click on ‘Send.’

Conclusion:

These six options offer a variety of ways to send emails using an Android device. Whether you prefer using dedicated apps like Gmail and Outlook or seek alternative methods through third-party clients and web browsers, there are convenient choices for everyone. From sending simple text messages to sharing files and media with others, keep connected through emails by utilizing these methods on your Android smartphone.
