Xbox Series X Controller Keeps Disconnecting? How to Fix It

The Xbox Series X controller is a great innovation for gamers. It is a wireless controller that has been designed to work with the Xbox Series X gaming console. If you are experiencing the issue of the controller disconnecting from the console, then, it might be frustrating. Luckily, there are some possible solutions to this problem that you can try on your Xbox Series X controller.

One of the most common causes of disconnections is low battery power. If your controller is not fully charged, it might disconnect from the console when the battery is low. To solve this issue, ensure you charge the controller fully before using it. When the controller is not in use, make sure it is turned off to conserve its battery power. Invest in a rechargeable battery kit if you are experiencing frequent disconnections due to low battery power.

Another reason why your Xbox Series X controller may be disconnecting is due to interference. Try to reduce the number of wireless devices that are near the Xbox console. The Xbox Series X controller uses radio waves to communicate with the console. If there are other devices with similar frequencies around the area, then they might interfere and cause the controller to disconnect.

You may also experience frequent disconnections if your controller has not been updated. To fix this, connect the controller to the console using a USB cable, and then click on the ‘Settings’ button on your Xbox console dashboard. Next, navigate to ‘Devices and Accessories’ and select the controller. You should see the ‘Update’ option there. Click on it to start the update process.

Another possible fix is to try resetting your controller. This will wipe all existing connections so that you can start the re-connecting process from scratch. To reset the Xbox Series X controller, press and hold the Xbox button on the controller for about 10 seconds until the light on the controller flashes. Then, turn off the console and unplug it from the power outlet for about 30 seconds. This will also reset the wireless module in your console. After 30 seconds, plug the console back to the power outlet, turn it on and re-connect your controller.

If none of these solutions has worked, then try contacting the Xbox Support team for further assistance. They will be able to troubleshoot the issue and offer you some other possible solutions. Remember to provide as much information as you can about your case so that they can get a better understanding of the issue.
