Why You Shouldn’t Use Instagram Follower Tracking Apps

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, with an estimated one billion active users. The appeal of Instagram lies in its visual nature, with modern-day consumers craving beautiful imagery, and as a result, Instagram has become an essential marketing tool for businesses and individuals alike.

One aspect of Instagram that has grown in popularity recently is the use of follower tracking apps. These apps claim to help you gain more followers, better understand your audience, and ultimately help you grow your online presence. However, the question remains, should you use these apps? The answer is no, and here’s why.

Violation of Instagram’s Terms of Service

The first reason why you shouldn’t use Instagram follower tracking apps is that they often violate Instagram’s terms of service. Instagram has strict rules against the use of bots and third-party apps that automate actions on the platform. Using these apps could result in your account being permanently banned from the platform, the last thing you want when you’ve put so much effort into building your profile.

Damage to Your Engagement

Organic growth is crucial on Instagram, and that means engaging with your audience and posting quality content regularly. However, if you’re relying on a follower tracking app to grow your following, you’re making a rookie mistake as these apps generate fake followers, likes and views, harming your account’s engagement rate, and damaging your authenticity.

Not Suitable for Growing Genuine Relationships

Another reason not to use Instagram follower tracking apps is that they don’t support the growth of genuine relationships, meaning you’re not creating a real community with meaningful interactions. Real followers come from sharing quality content, and it takes effort and time to create authentic relationships. By relying on these apps, you’re skipping the most important element of creating a successful Instagram account.

Inaccurate Data

Finally, these apps’ data can be inaccurate, so even if you’re drawn in by insights and analytics, what you’re getting is not dependable. The data they offer may not reflect the reality of your account, and it could ultimately be misleading you to take actions that don’t benefit your profile.
