Why does your phone get so damn hot and how to keep it from overheating?
As phones have become an essential part of our life, we rely on them more than ever before. We use them for endless reasons, from making calls and sending messages to watching videos and playing games. With all these tasks on one device, it’s not uncommon to find that your phone gets hot from time to time. Here’s why your phone gets so damn hot and how to keep it from overheating.
Firstly, the most common reason why your phone overheats is because of the heavy usage, such as gaming or watching movies, that makes the processing unit work extra hard. This is because processing applications requires power and causes the phone to produce heat. Also, excessive applications running in the background of your phone takes up memory and causes your phone to work harder and heat up.
Another reason is charging your phone. Overcharge or incorrect charging method can cause the internal components of your phone to overheat. Using non-authentic chargers may cause your battery to get overheated, causing significant damage to the entire device in the long run.
If you’re experiencing overheating issues with your phone, here are some tips to keep it from happening:
1. Turn off apps running in the background that you are not using at the moment.
2. Avoid using your phone while charging – this may slow down charging, but it is much safer.
3. Keep your phone out of direct sunlight and hot areas, like inside of a car. Heat is the enemy of your device, and direct sunlight can cause your device to overheat.
4. Remove your phone case while charging, which would prevent heat from escaping.
5. Clean your phone regularly and avoid overloading it with data.
