Mobile phones have become an integral part of modern society, allowing us to communicate with others, access the internet, take photos, and much more. However, with so many different models and brands available, it can be challenging to determine what kind of mobile phone you have. In this article, we will explore some of the most common types of mobile phones and how to identify them.

1. iPhone

If you have an iPhone, then it is likely that you already know. iPhones are one of the most popular mobile phones in the world and are manufactured by Apple. They typically have a distinctive design, with a home button at the bottom of the screen, and run on the iOS operating system. To check which iPhone model you have, go to Settings > General > About > Model.

2. Samsung

Samsung is another popular mobile phone brand that manufactures both high-end and budget-friendly devices. Samsung Galaxy phones are the most recognizable, and they run on the Android operating system. To check which Samsung model you have, go to Settings > About Phone > Model number.

3. Google Pixel

Google Pixel phones are relatively new compared to other mobile phone brands, but they have gained a reputation for being some of the best Android phones on the market. They have a unique design, and run on the purest form of Android, with no added bloatware. To check which Google Pixel model you have, go to Settings > About Phone > Model.

4. LG

LG phones have a wide range of devices, from affordable smartphones to high-end phablets. They run on the Android operating system and have a minimalist design. To check which LG model you have, go to Settings > About phone > Software info > LG Software.

5. Nokia

Nokia is a Finnish brand that used to dominate the mobile phone market. They fell out of favor after the advent of smartphones, but have recently made a comeback with modern Android devices. To check which Nokia model you have, go to Settings > About phone > Model.

6. HTC

HTC is another brand that started strong in the early days of smartphones but has since struggled to compete with other Android brands. They have a unique design, with their flagship devices featuring front-facing stereo speakers. To check which HTC model you have, go to Settings > About > Software information > More > Model number.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
