Apple’s Lost Mode is a security feature that comes with iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices. It’s essentially a way to track a lost or stolen device, and to protect any personal information stored on it.

When a user activates Lost Mode, the device is locked with a passcode and a custom message is displayed on the lock screen. The message can include contact information, instructions for whoever finds the device, and a request for the device to be returned.
