Apple’s iCloud is a cloud-based data storage and synchronization service that allows users to store and access data across multiple devices. Launched in October 2011, iCloud has become an essential service for Apple users who want to keep their data safe and easily accessible. But, what does iCloud backup?

iCloud is designed to back up various content from a user’s Apple devices, including photos, videos, documents, music, contacts, calendars, and other data, such as bookmarks, messages, and app data. It enables users to access and manage their data from any Apple device seamlessly. This means that users can interact with their content from their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch or Mac, and always have their data synchronized.

Photos and Videos

One of the essential backups that iCloud performs on behalf of the user is photos and videos. With iCloud Photo Library, every photo and video taken with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch is automatically uploaded to iCloud, storing it securely and making it accessible to all devices. It also allows users to share their photo library with other people securely.

Documents and Data

With iCloud Drive, users can store any document, from spreadsheets to PDFs, on the iCloud. Users can access these documents from their iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads, and Macs. Any changes made to the documents are automatically saved across all devices.

Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders

iCloud backups Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders, keeping these essential data up-to-date across all devices. Users can add, remove, and modify these lists and synchronize the changes across all their Apple devices.

Safari Bookmarks

iCloud can backup Safari Bookmarks, which makes it easy to switch between devices while browsing the internet. It allows users to store and access these bookmarks across multiple devices. With iCloud, users can avoid losing these bookmarks and not waste time recreating them after buying a new device.

Messages and App Data

iCloud backups Messages and App data, which means that users can start a message on their iPhone and pick up from where they left off on their Mac or iPad. It seamlessly synchronizes and transfers data across all devices, providing a great experience to the user.

In conclusion, iCloud is an essential service for Apple users, providing an effortless way to backup and store their data, making it easy to access and manage across multiple devices. iCloud backups photos, videos, documents, contacts, calendars, reminders, Safari bookmarks, messages and app data. Overall, iCloud is a useful service that provides a convenient way to store, access and manage data from Apple devices regardless of the device chosen.
