If you are a Windows user and need to manage web servers, then opening Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager should be your go-to application. This article will outline several ways in which you can open the IIS Manager.

  1. Using Windows search

The easiest way to open IIS Manager is by using the Windows search bar. Simply press the keys “Windows + S” on your keyboard, type in “IIS Manager” in the search bar, and press enter. This will open the IIS Manager application on your computer.

  1. Using the Control Panel

Another way to open IIS Manager is through the Control Panel. To get to the Control Panel, open the Start menu, type “Control Panel” in the search bar, and press enter. Once you are in the Control Panel, click on “Administrative Tools”. From here, you should see an option to open IIS Manager.

  1. Using the Run command

The Run command is another useful option to open IIS Manager. To do this, simultaneously press the “Windows + R” keys on your keyboard to open the Run command. Type in “inetmgr” and click on “OK”. This command will launch the IIS Manager instantly.

  1. Using PowerShell

For Windows users who prefer the command line, PowerShell is a good option to open IIS Manager. First, open PowerShell by typing “PowerShell” in the Start menu search bar and hit enter. Type in “start inetmgr” and press enter again. This will launch the IIS Manager application.

  1. Using the Windows Server Manager

Windows Server Manager is an application that provides a centralized management tool for various servers. To access it, open the Start menu and search for “Windows Server Manager”. Once the application is open, click on the “Tools” option on the top right corner of the screen and select “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager”. This will open the IIS Manager on your computer.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
