If you are using Windows 10, then you might have used Sticky Notes app to write quick notes, reminders or to-do lists. However, sometimes, the app stops responding due to various reasons, and users find it difficult to access their notes. If you are facing the same problem, then don’t worry, as here are some ways to fix the Sticky Notes app when it’s not working in Windows 10.

1. Restart Sticky Notes App

One of the easiest ways to fix the Sticky Notes app is by restarting it. Sometimes, the app becomes unresponsive due to temporary issues, and restarting it can fix the problem. To do this, right-click on the Sticky Notes icon on the taskbar, and select ‘Close window.’ Now, open the Start menu, search for Sticky Notes, and click on it to open the app again.

2. Update Sticky Notes App

Another reason why Sticky Notes app may not be working in Windows 10 is that it might be outdated. Microsoft releases updates regularly, and updating the app can fix any glitches or bugs that existed in the previous version. To update the app, go to Microsoft Store, search for Sticky Notes, click on the ‘Get Updates’ button, and install the latest version.

3. Reset Sticky Notes App

Sometimes, the Sticky Notes app may not work due to corrupted settings or data. You can try resetting the app, which will remove all the notes, and reset the app to its default state. To reset Sticky Notes, go to ‘Settings -> Apps -> Sticky Notes -> Advanced Options -> Reset.’

4. Run Windows Update

It is possible that the Sticky Notes app is not working due to some issues with Windows 10 itself. Running a Windows update can fix any known issues or bugs in the operating system that may have caused the app to malfunction.

5. Reinstall Sticky Notes App

If none of the above methods worked, then it may be time to reinstall the Sticky Notes app. To do this, go to Microsoft Store, search for Sticky Notes, click on ‘Uninstall’, and then install the app again.

In conclusion, Sticky Notes app is a useful tool to quickly scribble down notes and reminders, but it can be frustrating when it’s not working properly. By using the above methods, you can easily fix any Sticky Note app-related issues and use it smoothly on your Windows 10 device.
