The clipboard history is a very useful feature in Windows 11 that allows users to copy and paste multiple items without having to manually switch between them again and again. However, there are times when this feature may stop working and you may have to look for ways to fix it.

  1. Check the Clipboard History Settings

The first thing to do when the clipboard history stops working is to check the clipboard history settings. This can be done by going to the Windows Settings, selecting System, and then selecting Clipboard. Make sure that the toggle for Clipboard history is turned on.

  1. Restart the Computer

Restarting the computer is a simple solution that often solves many problems, including issues with the clipboard history. Restarting the computer can help reset any software glitches or issues that might be causing the issue.

  1. Check If any Application is Conflicting with Clipboard History

Sometimes, third-party programs can interfere with the clipboard history feature in Windows 11. In such cases, it is recommended to temporarily disable or uninstall those programs to see if it resolves the issue. You can also check for any updates for the problem application.

  1. Clear the Clipboard History Data

Clearing the clipboard history data can help resolve any issues that may have arisen with the clipboard history in Windows 11. To clear the data, go to Settings, select System, then Clipboard, and select Clear clipboard data.

  1. Run the SFC Scan

System File Checker (SFC) scan is a useful tool that allows you to scan and repair corrupted or missing system files. To run an SFC scan, go to the start menu and search for Command Prompt. Right-click on it and select Run as administrator. In the Command Prompt, type “sfc/scannow” and hit Enter. Wait for the scan to complete and follow any prompts provided if there are errors found.
