Ways to Recover Your Safari Tabs After Restarting Your Mac
Have you ever had the experience of restarting your Mac and losing all of your open tabs in Safari? If so, you’re not alone. It can be frustrating to have to manually search and open all of your previously open tabs, but fortunately, there are some simple ways to recover them.
- Look for the Recently Closed Tabs Option
When you reopen Safari after restarting your Mac, you may notice a “Recently Closed Tabs” option on the Safari menu. This feature saves your tabs and allows you to quickly restore them by selecting the ones you want from the list.
To access the Recently Closed Tabs option, go to the History menu at the top of the Safari window and select “Recently Closed Tabs.” You’ll see a list of the tabs you had open before restarting your Mac, and you can select each one to open it again.

If the Recently Closed Tabs option doesn’t work, try using the History menu to recover your lost tabs. Click on the History menu in Safari and select “Reopen Last Closed Window.” This will open the last window you had open, including all of the tabs that were active.
If you closed more than one Safari window before restarting your Mac, this method may not work. In that case, you can try selecting “Reopen All Windows from Last Session” in the History menu. This will open all of the windows you had open before the restart, including any tabs that were open.

It automatically saves and restores your open tabs and windows in Safari, so you don’t have to worry about losing them again.
To use SessionRestore, simply download and install the app, and then open Safari. You’ll see a “SessionRestore” icon in the Safari toolbar that you can click on to restore your tabs and windows.
Another popular app that can help is called Tabs Saver. This app allows you to save your open tabs and windows manually, so you can restore them later. To use Tabs Saver, simply download and install the app, and then click on the “Save Tabs” button in the Safari toolbar. You can then name and save your tabs for later use.
