With multiple carriers offering unlimited plans in today’s competitive market, it can be challenging to determine which plan best fits your needs. In this article, we will compare the top four U.S. wireless carriers’ unlimited plans – Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint – to help you make an informed decision.

1. Verizon Unlimited Plans

Verizon offers three primary unlimited plans: Start Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, and Do More Unlimited.

Start Unlimited

Priced at $70 per month for a single line, this basic unlimited plan includes unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data.

Video streaming is limited to standard definition (480p).

Play More Unlimited

For $80 per month per line, this plan offers premium data and 5G Ultra-Wideband access (where available), HD video streaming (720p), and includes a subscription to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

Do More Unlimited

Also at $80 per line/month with a focus on productivity features, this plan offers premium data and 5G Ultra-Wideband access (where available), HD video streaming (720p), 50GB of cloud storage, and a 6-month subscription to Apple Music.

2. AT&T Unlimited Plans

AT&T offers two primary unlimited plans: Unlimited Starter and Unlimited Elite.

Unlimited Starter

This plan begins at $65/month for a single line and includes unlimited talk, text, and data with standard definition video streaming.

Unlimited Elite

Priced at $85 per month for one line, this option provides unlimited talk, text, and data with HD streaming quality (1080p), 30GB mobile hotspot allowance per line per month, HBO Max subscription included, and enhanced network priority compared to lower-tier plans.

3. T-Mobile Unlimited Plans

T-Mobile offers two primary unlimited plans: Essentials and Magenta.

Essentials

Starting at $60 per month for one line, the Essentials plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data on T-Mobile’s nationwide network with standard definition video quality.

Magenta

Priced at $70 per line/month without device incentives, the Magenta plan includes 5GB of 4G LTE mobile hotspot usage per month, 100GB of Google One cloud storage, and Netflix Basic for one screen. Video streaming is capped at

DVD-quality (480p).

4. Sprint Unlimited Plans (Now Part of T-Mobile)

Although Sprint was acquired by T-Mobile in 2020, their legacy plans are available for existing customers.

Unlimited Basic

Starting at $60 per line/month, this plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data with DVD-quality video streaming along with a Hulu subscription and 500MB of mobile hotspot data per month.

Unlimited Plus

For $70 per line/month, the Plus plan upgrades the hotspot data allowance to 50GB per month, provides Tidal Premium access in addition to Hulu, and supports HD-quality video streaming (1080p).

Conclusion

In conclusion, your best choice for an unlimited plan will depend on your priorities such as network coverage in your area, monthly budget, and additional features like streaming subscriptions or mobile hotspot allowance. By examining the variety of unlimited plans offered by Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile/Sprint, you can choose the one that aligns best with your needs.
