With luxury accommodations and impeccable service, the world’s best hotels offer an unparalleled experience to the discerning traveler. Each year, Condé Nast Traveller curates a list of these exceptional properties, which stand out for their unique characteristics, unparalleled comfort, and outstanding guest experiences. From private island retreats to urban sanctuaries, the range of establishments celebrated by Condé Nast Traveller is diverse.

At the apex of this list are often establishments such as the Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives, offering guests their own slice of paradise with overwater villas and private infinity pools that blend seamlessly with the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. Equally impressive for its urban luxury is the Ritz Paris, which has long been synonymous with opulent rooms and suites that have hosted royalty and celebrities alike.

Asia’s hospitality is also a prominent feature on the list, with hotels like The Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, which continues to be a city landmark with its blend of traditional Thai charm and stylish comforts. The Aman Tokyo redefines luxury in a minimalist Japanese aesthetic while offering views over the megalopolis that go on forever.

Wilderness lodges like Singita Sabi Sand in South Africa transform a safari stay into a sumptuous experience where wildlife encounters are complemented by fine dining under the stars and exquisite lodging that respects its natural surroundings.

On the other side of the world in North America, New York City’s The Plaza invites guests to relive the grandeur of early 20th-century luxury while providing a gateway to explore Central Park’s lush expanses.

Europe’s representation goes beyond France to include Italy’s Lake Como gem, Villa d’Este. This historic hotel promises a romantic escape beside serene waters with classical gardens and Renaissance architecture contributing to its refined allure.

Each property awarded by Condé Nast Traveller shares a dedication to excellence—whether it’s through architectural marvels or experiences tailored to each guest. Although this article does not exhaustively cover all distinguished hotels named by Condé Nast Traveller annually, it underscores the remarkable variety and consistent quality they share. For many travelers, staying at any one of these hotels isn’t just about rest; it is about being immersed in luxury that transcends everyday life.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
