There are a ton of games available for the iPhone, but if you’re looking for something that can be played on-the-go without needing to download an app, web-based games are a great option. Here are some of the best web-based games for iPhone:

1. 2048

This game has taken the world by storm with its simple yet addicting gameplay. The objective is to slide numbered tiles on a grid to add them together and reach the number 2048.

2. Agar.io

In this game, you start as a tiny cell and must eat smaller cells to grow. But watch out for larger cells that can eat you!

3. Chrome Dino

If you’ve ever been without internet and opened up Google Chrome, you may have seen the game where you control a little T-Rex jumping over cacti. This game can also be played on your iPhone in Safari.

4. Candy Box 2

This text-based game starts with you collecting candy, but quickly turns into a RPG adventure with quests, weapons, and more.

5. GeoGuessr

This game uses Google Street View to drop you in a random location and you have to guess where you are based on clues such as signage and architecture.

6. Super Mario Bros. Crossover

This fan-made game lets you play as other famous video game characters, such as Link from The Legend of Zelda or Mega Man, in the classic Super Mario Bros. levels.

7. Doodle Jump

This classic game has you control a little doodle character jumping higher and higher on platforms while avoiding obstacles.

8. QWOP

This game is notoriously difficult as you control a runner’s legs with just four keys on your keyboard to try to make it as far as you can.

9. Tetris

A game that needs no introduction, Tetris is still as fun and challenging as ever.

10. FlightSim

If you’ve ever dreamed of flying a plane, this game lets you become a pilot and fly across the world in real-time.

Whether you’re looking for classic arcade-style games or newer, inventive games, there’s a web-based game out there for everyone. Best of all, these games can be played on-the-go without needing to clutter your phone with additional apps.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
