The 8 Best Exercises for Square Butts to Become Round

The pursuit of a well-sculpted, round posterior has become a popular fitness goal. For those with a naturally squarer buttock shape, certain exercises can help build muscle and create the desired curvature. Here are the 8 best exercises to transform a square butt into a rounder shape:

1.Squats: Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, lower your body as if sitting back into an invisible chair while keeping your chest upright. Push through your heels to rise back to standing position.

2.Lunges: Step one foot forward, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at about a 90-degree angle. Make sure your front knee is above your ankle and not pushed out too far.

3.Glute Bridges: Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Lift your hips off the ground until shoulders, hips, and knees are in a straight line, squeezing your glutes at the top.

4.Hip Thrusts: Similar to glute bridges but performed with upper back resting on a bench or stable surface. This allows for a greater range of motion and increased resistance if weights are added.

5.Deadlifts: With feet hip-width apart, bend at the hips to lower and grasp a barbell or dumbbells with an overhand grip. Keep your back flat as you lift by straightening hips and knees to stand upright.

6.Step-Ups: Using a bench or sturdy platform, step up with one foot followed by the other until you’re standing on the platform with both feet firmly placed, then step back down and repeat.

7.Donkey Kicks: Get on all fours; keeping one knee grounded, lift the other leg behind you while keeping it bent at 90 degrees, raising your foot towards the ceiling as if pushing something up with your heel.

8.Clamshells: Lie on one side with legs stacked and bent at a 45-degree angle. While keeping feet together, open the top knee away from the bottom one like a clamshell opening.

Integrating these exercises into regular fitness routines can promote muscle growth in the glutes and contribute to a more rounded buttock shape when performed consistently along with proper nutrition.
