Starfield: 10 Best Weapon Types, Ranked

As the community of gamers eagerly anticipates Bethesda Game Studios’ forthcoming epic, Starfield, speculation abounds regarding the array of weapon types players will get their hands on. While we await confirmed details, we can take a speculative but educated guess on which weapon types could feature and potentially rank among the best based on Bethesda’s storied history in expansive RPGs like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Here’s a countdown of the top ten weapon types, from trusty blasters to exotic alien armaments, that we might find ourselves wielding in the Starfield universe.

1.Hand Pistols

The classic sidearm, hand pistols are likely to be the reliable staple for any space adventurer. Compact and versatile, these could range from laser pistols to more traditional ballistic types.

2.Energy Rifles

Energy rifles, with their charged shots and ability to deal damage over time with burning or radiation effects, might become the go-to for mid-range combat situations.

3.Blaster Shotguns

Close-quarters combat may see blasters evolve into shotgun forms, delivering devastating bursts capable of clearing out packs of enemies or dealing heavy damage to larger foes.

4.Sniper Systems

Precision is always prized in any conflict. Sniper systems that might combine traditional long-range accuracy with tech like auto-targeting could rank highly among favorite weapon types.

5.Heavy Machine Guns

Raw firepower is something you can’t go wrong with. Heavy machine guns, be they conventional or energy-based, promise to deliver suppressive power and annihilate anything unwise enough to be in their path.

6.Melee Energy Weapons

Not all combat will be at a distance; some encounters may call for up-close action where melee energy weapons – think plasma swords or electric lances – take center stage.

7.Grenade Launchers

Explosives galore could see grenade launchers ascend the ranks. These might range from standard fragmentation grenades to specialized miniature black hole creators!

8.Alien Tech Guns

Alien technology could introduce completely unconventional weapons that manipulate gravity, time, or even biological matter – offering truly unique ways to engage adversaries.

9.Rocket Launchers

For those who equate bigger explosions with better results, rocket launchers will likely claim near-top spots. They pack the punch needed for those decidedly overpowered moments.

10.Modular Weapon Systems

Customization is key in many RPGs, so modular weapon systems that allow for tweaking everything from barrels, stocks, scopes, to ammo types could be the most sought-after weapons in Starfield – letting every spacefarer craft their signature gun tailored perfectly to their playstyle and tactical needs.

Starfield promises a galaxy teeming with adventure and danger; having a robust arsenal at your disposal will be critical for exploration and survival among the stars. As players chart their courses through this enigmatic space-faring odyssey, these ranked weapon types are poised to offer an eclectic mix of firepower and fun.
