Star Wars: The Sequel Trilogy, comprised of “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi,” and “The Rise of Skywalker,” has given audiences some of the most memorable moments in the entire Star Wars saga. Here are the top 11 moments that have left an indelible mark on the franchise and fans alike.

.Rey’s Introduction (“The Force Awakens”)– The opening scenes that follow Rey through her life on the desert planet of Jakku, reveal the solitude and resilience of her character. Her sliding down a massive sand dune is both visually stunning and metaphorical, encapsulating her journey ahead.

.Han Solo’s Return (“The Force Awakens”)– Seeing Han Solo and Chewbacca step onto the Millennium Falcon once again was a powerful moment of nostalgia for fans, symbolizing a bridge between the old and new trilogies.

.Kylo Ren and Han Solo (“The Force Awakens”)– The tragic scene where Kylo Ren confronts his father, Han Solo, on Starkiller Base culminates in one of the most shocking moments as Kylo impales Han, forever altering the course of his own destiny.

.Rey’s Lightsaber Battle (“The Force Awakens”)– Rey’s first use of Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber in a forest duel against Kylo Ren was both visually spectacular and significant for her character’s evolution into a Jedi.

.Luke Skywalker’s Appearance (“The Last Jedi”)– Luke’s appearance at the end of “The Last Jedi” is iconic, with his silent confrontation against the First Order becoming one of the most talked-about moments from the trilogy.

.Admiral Holdo’s Sacrifice (“The Last Jedi”)– Admiral Holdo’s lightspeed ramming maneuver is a breathtaking visual masterpiece that serves as a defining moment in the franchise regarding self-sacrifice and resolve against seemingly insurmountable odds.

.Yoda’s Wisdom (“The Last Jedi”)– The unexpected return of Yoda as a Force ghost to impart wisdom to Luke reminds fans of the enduring themes within Star Wars about failure being life’s greatest teacher.

.Rey & Kylo Ren Team Up (“The Last Jedi”)– The temporary alliance between Rey and Kylo Ren in Snoke’s throne room culminates in an exhilarating lightsaber battle sequence against the Praetorian Guards.

.Emperor Palpatine’s Reveal (“The Rise of Skywalker”)– Upon hearing that Emperor Palpatine somehow survived, fans were left stunned, as it raised implications for both Rey’s heritage and the broader narrative arc of the light vs dark theme within Star Wars lore.

.Lando Calrissian’s Return (“The Rise of Skywalker”)– Lando’s return to aid in the final battle rallies characters old and new, serving as another thread connecting all trilogies together while showcasing intergenerational cooperation.

.Final Confrontation on Exegol (“The Rise of Skywalker”)– In a climactic sequence filled with emotional weightiness, the Sith and Jedi ancestors lend their strength to Rey in her struggle against Palpatine — marking an endearing moment where past and present coalesce to shape her destiny as she declares herself “Rey Skywalker.”

These remarkable sequences comprise part of why Star Wars continues to be a cinematic milestone in depictions of heroism, conflict, and redemption across galaxies far, far away.
