President Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was known for his unfiltered use of Twitter to communicate with the public, which often led to controversy and political polarization. Here is a selection of 15 tweets that were particularly politicizing during his time in office:

1. The Travel Ban Tweet: “The travel ban into the United States should be far larger, tougher and more specific-but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!”

2. On North Korea: “North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.”

3. Climate Change Stance: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”

4. Regarding the Wall: “SECURE THE BORDER! BUILD THE WALL!”

5. Attacking Media Outlets: “The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!”

6. Mail-in Voting Skepticism: “MAIL-IN VOTING WILL LEAD TO MASSIVE FRAUD AND ABUSE. IT WILL ALSO LEAD TO THE END OF OUR GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY. WE CAN NEVER LET THIS TRAGEDY BEFALL OUR NATION.”

7. On Impeachment: “Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!”

8. Regarding Protesters: “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way…”

9. 2020 Election Claims: “WE ARE MAKING BIG PROGRESS. RESULTS START TO COME IN NEXT WEEK. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

10. After Acquittal: “I was impeached for making a perfect phone call!”

11. Blaming Opponents for Economic Downturn: “If you want to crash your stocks and 401ks – Vote Democrat! #MAGA”

12. On National Anthem Protests in NFL: “The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!”

13. COVID-19 as ‘Chinese Virus’: “The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus.”

14. Discrediting Mail-in Ballots Once More: “Big problems and discrepancies with Mail In Ballots all over the USA.”

15. Before Capitol Riot: “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

Each tweet was a focal point for discussions and reactions across political spectrums and frequently dominated news cycles following their publication.
