Spread the love

New Jersey’s love for ramen runs deep, and with countless places to get a steaming bowl of this Japanese delicacy, you’re never too far from a satisfying meal. But where can you find the very best ramen bowls? We’ve toured the Garden State and slurped our way through numerous bowls to present you with New Jersey’s 15 best bowls of ramen, ranked.

1.Ramen Nagomi – New Brunswick

Topping the list is Ramen Nagomi’s Shoyu Classic. Their meticulously crafted broth and perfectly cooked noodles set the standard for what a traditional ramen should be.

2.Ani Ramen House – Multiple Locations

Take a sip of their Spicy Miso Ramen and you’ll understand why it’s a fan favorite. The balance of spice and richness makes it unforgettable.

3.Santouka Ramen – Edgewater

A place that commands long queues, Santouka’s Tonkotsu Ramen is rich, creamy, and boasts an authentic flavor that transports you straight to Japan.

4.Menya Sandaime – Fort Lee

Their Tonkotsu Ramen is all about simplicity done right – pork bone broth with depth and excellent noodles make for a comforting bowl.

5.Mentai Ramen & Donburi – Clifton

The fiery Karai Tonkotsu Ramen at Mentai is packed with heat and flavor that will surely wake up your taste buds.

6.Rai Rai Ramen – North Brunswick

Rai Rai’s Tan-Tan Men mixes things up with a peppery sesame sauce blended into its brothy goodness.

7.Totto Ramen – Metuchen

Their Mega Chicken Paitan Ramen with its rich, chicken-based soup is as hearty as it gets – ideal for those chilly evenings.

8.Ajiten – Memphis

Contrasting many pork-focused options, their Tori Paitan is chicken-centric with a beautifully silky broth.

9.Misoya – East Brunswick

For something different, try the Kome Miso ramen, which offers an earthier taste thanks to its fermented soybean paste broth.

10.Shumi – Ridgewood

Shumi impresses with its Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen – a hybrid broth that showcases the best of both worlds.

11.Noodlefan – Union City

Their Green Curry Ramen stands out with a Thai twist that brings lemongrass and coconut milk into the mix.

12.Yokohama – Lawrenceville

Yokohama’s Kimchi ramen is both spicy and tangy, perfect for those who enjoy fermentation’s zing on their palate.

13.Kazuya – Newark

Their signature Kazuya ramnet features a spicy miso broth filled with depth of flavor– making it absolutely irresistible.

14.Orama’s Sapporo Style Spicy Miso – Edgewater

With generous toppings and just enough kick, Orama’s spicy offering doesn’t disappoint with its robust flavors.

15.Anri’s Noodle House – Ocean Township

Ending the list is Anri’s Curry Ramen which gives an interesting Indian spin to the umami-packed Japanese favorite.

New Jersey’s ramen scene definitely doesn’t shy away from diversity or flavor intensity! Whether you’re after something traditional or craving something more modern and innovative, these spots won’t disappoint in delivering some of the tastiest ramen across NJ!
