NASA DART Mission: Altering an Asteroid’s Solar Orbit in 2022

In a groundbreaking achievement for planetary defense, NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission has revealed that its intentional collision with the asteroid Dimorphos in September 2022 may have altered the entire binary asteroid system’s orbit around the Sun.
