If you’re facing problems with your Mac keyboard not working, you may find yourself in a frustrating situation. A keyboard is an essential device that is relied on for everything from typing out essays to sending emails. There are a number of reasons why your Mac keyboard may not be working, and most of them are fixable.

Here are some possible solutions to try if you encounter problems with your Mac keyboard:

1. Check Keyboard Settings

If your Mac keyboard is suddenly not working, check the keyboard settings to see if they’ve been adjusted. Head to the Keyboard tab, select your keyboard from the list, and ensure that the correct layout has been selected.

2. Check for Software Updates

Sometimes software updates can help to fix issues with your Mac’s keyboard. Make sure that you have the latest version of the operating system installed on your computer.

3. Check for Hardware Damage

Check to make sure that your Mac keyboard is physically intact. Check for any damage that may have occurred to the keyboard, including physical damage or water damage.

4. Restart Your Computer

A simple solution that can help to fix a range of problems with your Mac is to simply restart it. Occasionally, an error in the software or a rogue background process can cause your keyboard to stop responding. This can be easily fixed by restarting your computer.

5. Factory Reset Your Mac

If all else fails, you can try a factory reset of your Mac. This process will erase all the data on your Mac and will return it to its default settings. This can help to solve any issues that may be caused by software corruption or configuration problems.
