I Tried McDonald’s Halloween Boo Buckets: The Good, the Bad and the ‘Lids’

As Halloween approaches, our favorite fast-food chain, McDonald’s, is getting into the spooky spirit with their latest food accessories – Boo Buckets! As a Halloween enthusiast, I couldn’t help but try out these festive containers and share my experience. Here’s my take on the good, the bad, and the ‘lids’ of McDonald’s Halloween Boo Buckets.

The Good:

1. Eye-catching designs – Each bucket featured a colorful and detailed design based on a Halloween theme. Skulls, pumpkins, bats – you name it. The intricate artwork adds to the festive spirit and makes it genuinely enjoyable to carry around while trick-or-treating.

2. The perfect size – One of the most significant advantages of these buckets is their size. They’re just large enough to hold a good amount of candy but not too big that they become unwieldy or challenging for children to carry.

3. Collectible factor – For fans of McDonald’s memorabilia or those who enjoy seasonal collectibles, these Boo Buckets make for a great addition to your collection.

The Bad:

1. Limited availability – Unfortunately, these delightful buckets aren’t available at all locations. You may find yourself driving to multiple McDonald’s restaurants or visiting different cities in search of one.

2. Variation in designs – Some locations may only offer one design for the Boo Buckets or even run out of stock. This could disappoint those who were hoping to collect all three designs or those who wanted a specific design.

The ‘Lids’:

While I appreciate McDonald’s nod towards sustainability by using reusable plastic lids instead of single-use plastics like tin foil or cling wrap, I had some mixed feelings about them.

1. Flimsy feel – The plastic lids felt somewhat flimsy and were difficult to place securely on top of the buckets to keep candy safe. It led me to question how durable they would be during a long night of trick-or-treating.

2. Not entirely eco-friendly – While it’s a useful step in the right direction, the plastic used for both the lids and the buckets could still pose an environmental issue if not properly disposed of or recycled.

In conclusion, McDonald’s Halloween Boo Buckets offer a fun and festive way to celebrate this
pooky season. Although there are some limitations in availability, design choices, and concerns about the plastic lids, these boo-tiful buckets will certainly bring a smile to any Halloween lover’s face. So go ahead, indulge in some frightful fast food fun and get your hands on one before they’re gone!
