How to Use Vanish Mode on Instagram (and Why You Should)?

Instagram has been adding new features to its app to enhance user privacy and security. One such feature is “Vanish Mode,” which allows you to send disappearing messages that disappear after they have been read. This feature is similar to Snapchat’s self-destructing messages, and it provides an extra layer of privacy for your conversations. In this article, we will explain how to use Vanish Mode on Instagram, and why you should start using it.

What is Vanish Mode?

Vanish Mode is a feature on Instagram that allows you to send disappearing messages. Once enabled, every message you send in that chat disappears after it’s been viewed. Vanish Mode is not a permanent mode, meaning it only lasts as long as your chat is open. If you leave the chat, then the Vanish Mode feature will be turned off, and messages will no longer disappear.

How to Enable and Use Vanish Mode:

Here’s how to enable and use Vanish Mode on Instagram:

1. Update your Instagram app: If you don’t have the latest version of Instagram, head over to the Google Play Store (if you’re using an Android device) or the App Store (if you’re using an iOS device) and update your app.

2. Open a chat: Choose the person or group chat with whom you want to use the Vanish Mode feature.

3. Swipe up: Swipe up on the chat window to enable Vanish Mode. You’ll see a message that says “You’re in vanish mode.”

4. Send a message: Type and send the message as usual. The message will disappear after it’s been viewed.

5. Go back to normal chat mode: If you no longer want to use Vanish Mode, swipe up on the chat window again or close the chat. The Vanish Mode feature will be turned off, and messages will no longer disappear.

Why You Should Use Vanish Mode:

There are a few reasons why you should start using Instagram’s Vanish Mode:

1. Privacy: With Vanish Mode, you can have a private conversation that disappears once it’s been viewed. This feature ensures that your chat history isn’t saved, which is ideal for conversations that you don’t want to leave a trace.

2. Confidentiality: Vanish Mode helps keep your confidential conversations secure. If you’re sharing sensitive information, like passwords and bank account details, Vanish Mode can help keep that information from being exposed.

3. Convenience: Sometimes, you don’t want to keep track of a chat or have it taking up space in your inbox. With Vanish Mode, you can have a quick conversation that’s deleted as soon as it’s read.
