If you are a professional who needs to manage multiple windows open on your Mac or want to optimize your work environment, MacOS’s Stage Manager is a great solution for you. MacOS’s Stage Manager feature is a powerful tool that enables you to create, organize and manage multiple workspaces or stages on your Mac.

In this article, we will give you a comprehensive guide on how to use Stage Manager in macOS Ventura. You will learn how to set up new stages, move between stages and customize them to fit your specific needs.

How to Set Up New Stages

To create a new stage, follow these simple steps:

1. Click on the ‘Mission Control’ icon located in your dock. The icon is represented by three overlapping windows.

2. Once you have opened Mission Control, you will see all your open windows in one view.

3. Move your cursor to the top right of the screen to reveal a small button with a plus sign. Click on it.

4. A new stage will be created, and it will automatically be named ‘Desktop 2’. You can rename the stage by clicking on its name.

5. You can add another stage by clicking on the plus sign on the top right of the screen, and this process can be repeated to create multiple stages.

How to Move Between Stages

Once you have created more than one stage, it is easy to move between them:

1. Press the ‘Ctrl’ key on your keyboard and then swipe left or right using three fingers on your trackpad to move between stages.

2. If you prefer to use a keyboard shortcut, hold down the ‘Ctrl’ key and press the left or right arrow keys to navigate between the stages.

Customizing Stages

You can easily customize your stages to optimize your workspace.

Here are a few tips:

1. Click and drag windows between stages. You can move windows freely, allowing you to move them to a different stage.

2. On the top right-hand corner of each stage, you will see a few settings options. You can adjust the number of rows and columns in each stage, change the background color, and select the wallpaper of your choice.

3. You can also access your Spotlight search feature by pressing ‘Cmd+Spacebar’ on your keyboard. This will open a search bar on the top center of the screen, allowing you to search for anything on your Mac without switching between stages.

Conclusion

MacOS’s Stage Manager is an excellent tool for professionals who multitask and work with multiple windows. It allows you to create, organize, and manage multiple workspaces, making it easier for you to focus on the task at hand. With this comprehensive guide, you can now set up, move between stages, and customize stages to enhance your productivity.
