If you’re tired of using the same static wallpaper on your iPhone, using a Live Photo as wallpaper is a great way to bring your wallpaper to life without sacrificing quality. Here’s how you can use a Live Photo as wallpaper on your iPhone.

  1. Select a Live Photo

First, find a Live Photo that you want to use as your wallpaper. You can either take a Live Photo with your iPhone’s camera or choose a Live Photo from your camera roll. Live Photos are easy to recognize as they come with a circular Live Photo icon at the top.

  1. Go to Settings

Once you have selected your Live Photo, go to your iPhone’s Settings. From there, go to Wallpaper and choose “Choose a New Wallpaper.”

  1. Select Your Live Photo

Next, select your Live Photo from your camera roll. You should see a preview of the Live Photo. You can adjust the size and position of the photo as needed.

  1. Choose Your Wallpaper Type

Now that you have selected your Live Photo, you can choose the type of wallpaper that you want to set it as. You can choose either “Still,” “Perspective,” or “Live Photo.”

If you choose “Still,” the Live Photo will be displayed as a static image. If you choose “Perspective,” the Live Photo will move when you tilt your iPhone. If you choose “Live Photo,” the Live Photo will remain animated.

  1. Set Your Wallpaper

Finally, select “Set” to apply your Live Photo as your wallpaper. You can choose to set the Live Photo as your lock screen, home screen, or both. Once done, you should see your Live Photo come to life on your iPhone.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
