Windows 11 is Microsoft’s latest operating system that offers a new way of experiencing computing. However, some users might not find the default built-in apps on Windows 11 that useful or might want to free up some space. In this article, we will guide users on how to uninstall Windows 11’s built-in apps (and how to reinstall them).

Uninstalling the Built-in Apps on Windows 11

To remove any Built-in apps from Windows 11, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I.

Step 2: Click on the Apps option from the left menu.

Step 3: Under the Apps and Features section, search for the app you want to uninstall.

Step 4: Click on the app and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5: A pop-up window will appear, click on the Uninstall button again to confirm the uninstallation.

Step 6: The app will be uninstalled, and you will have more space on your system.

Reinstalling the Built-in Apps on Windows 11

If you need to reinstall any built-in apps you have uninstalled, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store app.

Step 2: Search for the app you want to reinstall and click on it.

Step 3: Then, click on the Install button.

Step 4: Once the installation is complete, you can launch the app from the Start menu.

However, not all built-in apps can be uninstalled, such as Settings or Start Menu, which are essential components of the Windows 11 operating system.

Conclusion

Uninstalling or reinstalling the built-in apps on Windows 11 is a simple process that can be completed with just a few clicks. It’s a great way to free up disk space or remove unwanted apps that are taking up valuable resources. However, make sure you do not delete any essential apps that are required for the proper functioning of the operating system.
