As an iPhone or iPad user, there may come a time when you need to type a degree symbol. Whether you are sending a text message or composing an email, this symbol can be useful when indicating a temperature, angle, or other measurement. Fortunately, typing the degree symbol on your device is a simple process.

Here are the steps to type a degree symbol on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the app where you want to type the degree symbol, such as Messages or Notes.

2. Bring up the keyboard by tapping on any text field.

3. Tap and hold the 0 key until a pop-up menu appears.

4. Choose the degree symbol (°) from the menu by sliding your finger to it and releasing it.

5. The degree symbol should now appear in your text field, and you can continue typing your message.

Alternatively, if you have access to the numeric keypad on your iPhone or iPad, you can also use it to type the degree symbol. Here’s how:

1. Tap on the 123 button on the keyboard to bring up the numeric keypad.

2. Tap and hold the 0 key until the same pop-up menu appears.

3. Slide your finger over to the degree symbol (°) and release it.

4. The degree symbol should now appear in your text field, and you can continue typing your message.

In some cases, you may need to type the degree symbol in a specific font or style. To do this, you can copy and paste the symbol from another source, such as the web or a document. Simply press and hold on the symbol, then select “Copy.” You can then paste the symbol into your text field by pressing and holding again and selecting “Paste.”

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
