The Amazon Echo Show is a versatile device that can help you with a range of things, from streaming music and movies to managing your smart home devices. One thing you may not have considered, however, is how you can use your Echo Show as a night light.

If you’re looking for a low-key, but atmospheric way to light up your room at night, then look no further – here are some simple steps to turn your Echo Show into a night light.

1. Choose Your Image

The first thing you need to do is select an image that you’d like to use as your background. You could choose a soothing image like a sunset, a relaxing beach scene, or a starry night sky, depending on your preferences. You can either find images online or use one of your own photos.

2. Change Your Screen Background

To set your chosen image as your screen background, swipe down from the top of the screen, then select “Settings.” From there, go to “Display” and “Wallpaper.”

You will now see a range of preloaded images to choose from. To use your own image, select “Custom” from the bottom of the screen, then choose “From Photos.” This will let you browse through your phone’s photo gallery and select the image you want to use.

3. Adjust Screen Brightness

Once you have chosen your image, you should adjust the screen brightness to get the right level of illumination for your room. Go back to “Settings” and select “Device Options.”

From here, choose “Screen” and then “Brightness.” A slider will appear, allowing you to adjust the brightness level. Experiment with different levels until you find a setting that you are comfortable with.

4. Set a Timer

If you don’t want your Echo Show to remain on all night, you can set a timer to turn it off after a certain amount of time. Simply say, “Alexa, set a timer for XX minutes,” and your Echo Show will turn off automatically when the timer runs out.

Alternatively, if you have a smart plug, you can connect your Echo Show to it and control the power remotely. This will allow you to turn your device on and off without having to get out of bed.

In Conclusion

Using your Amazon Echo Show as a night light is a simple yet effective way to create a calming atmosphere in your bedroom. By following these easy steps, you can customize your device to suit your preferences and get the perfect level of illumination for a restful night’s sleep.
