Lenovo laptops usually come with a built-in keyboard light that makes it easy to type in low-light conditions. However, some users may find it challenging to figure out how to turn it on, especially if they are new to Lenovo laptops. In this article, we will guide you on how to turn on the keyboard light on a Lenovo laptop.

Step 1: Locate the Function Key (Fn)

The function key (Fn) is the key that activates the secondary function of other keys on your keyboard. It is usually located at the bottom left corner of your keyboard, next to the Ctrl key. It is labeled Fn, and it is in blue.

Step 2: Locate the Keyboard Light Key

The keyboard light key is also labeled in blue and is located above the number pad, next to the F12 key. It is usually labeled with an icon that looks like a keyboard with a light bulb on it.

Step 3: Turn On the Keyboard Light

To turn on the keyboard light, press and hold the Fn key, then press the keyboard light key. Keep holding the Fn key until the keyboard light turns on. If you press the keyboard light key without holding the Fn key, nothing will happen.

Step 4: Adjust the Brightness

Most Lenovo laptops have adjustable keyboard light brightness levels. To adjust the brightness, press and hold the Fn key, then press the keyboard light key repeatedly. Each time you press the keyboard light key, the brightness will increase until it reaches maximum brightness. To decrease the brightness, press the keyboard light key while holding down the Fn key. Each time you press the keyboard light key, the brightness will decrease until it turns off.

Step 5: Turn Off the Keyboard Light

To turn off the keyboard light, press and hold the Fn key, then press the keyboard light key until the light turns off. Alternatively, the keyboard light will turn off automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.

Conclusion

In conclusion, turning on the keyboard light on a Lenovo laptop is easy, as long as you follow the steps outlined above. Remember, always press and hold the Fn key before pressing the keyboard light key, and adjust the brightness to your liking. Having a keyboard light on your Lenovo laptop can be useful, especially if you like working in the dark or at night.
