How to Add Spotify to a Roku Device

Spotify is a popular music streaming platform that offers access to millions of songs and podcasts. If you own a Roku device and want to stream Spotify on it, you’ll be glad to know that there are a number of ways to do so. Here’s how to add Spotify to your Roku device.

Method 1: Use the Spotify Channel

1. Turn on your Roku device and press the home button on your Roku remote.

2. Navigate to the Roku Channel Store by selecting “Streaming Channels” on the left side of the screen.

3. Search for “Spotify” using the search bar at the top of the screen.

4. Select the “Spotify” channel from the list of results.

5. Select “Add Channel” to install the Spotify channel on your Roku device.

6. Once installed, launch the Spotify channel and sign in with your Spotify account credentials.

7. You can now start streaming your favorite music on your Roku device.

Method 2: Screen Mirroring

If you own an Android or Windows device, you can also use screen mirroring to stream Spotify onto your Roku device.

1. Open the Spotify app on your mobile device.

2. Make sure your Roku device and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

3. Swipe down from the top of your Android device or swipe right from the left edge of your Windows device to open the notification center.

4. Look for the “Screen Mirroring” option in the notification center.

5. Select your Roku device from the list of available devices.

6. Your mobile device’s screen should now be mirrored on your Roku device.

7. Open the Spotify app on your mobile device and start playing a song.

8. The audio should now play through your Roku device.

Method 3: Use Spotify Connect

Spotify Connect allows you to stream music from your Spotify app to your Roku device without having to install the Spotify channel on your Roku device.

1. Make sure your Roku device and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Open the Spotify app on your mobile device and start playing a song.

3. Tap the “Devices Available” button at the bottom of the screen.

4. Select your Roku device from the list of available devices.

5. The audio should now play through your Roku device.

In conclusion, there are various ways to add Spotify to a Roku device. You can use the Spotify channel or use screen mirroring to stream music from your mobile device. Additionally, you can use Spotify Connect to stream music from your Spotify app to your Roku device. Whatever your choice, you can easily enjoy your music on your Roku device with Spotify.
