If you are an iPhone user, then you are probably familiar with the “Memories” feature of the Photos app. Memories are groups of photos and videos that are automatically created based on location, date, and the people in the photos. While Memories can be a great way to relive your past experiences, they can also be a source of annoyance when you receive notifications that remind you of certain memories. If these notifications bother you, here’s how to turn them off:

1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on the “For You” tab.

3. Scroll down until you see the Memories section.

4. Tap on the memory that you want to turn off notifications for.

5. Tap on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

6. Tap on “Notifications Off.”

That’s it! You won’t receive any more notifications for that particular memory. If you want to turn off notifications for all Memories, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Photos.”

3. Scroll down until you see the “Memories” section.

4. Tap on “Notification Settings.”

5. Toggle off “On This Day.”

6. Toggle off “Featured Photos.”

You can also choose to keep the Memories feature on, but only receive notifications for certain types of Memories. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Photos.”

3. Scroll down until you see the “Memories” section.

4. Tap on “Notification Settings.”

5. Choose which types of Memories you want to receive notifications for.

By following these simple steps, you can turn off Memories on iPhone to stop those pesky notifications. Now you can enjoy your Photos app without any annoying reminders of the past.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
