Windows 10 is an operating system that has a built-in mail app called Mail. It’s a great tool to use if you have multiple email accounts to manage, as it allows you to view all your emails in one place. However, constant mail notifications can be distracting and overwhelming. In this article, we will show you how to turn off mail notifications in Windows 10.

Method 1: Using the Settings App

The first method to disable mail notifications in Windows 10 is by using the Settings app. Here are the steps:

1. Click on the Start menu button and choose Settings (the gear icon).
2. In the Settings window, click on System, then Notifications & actions.
3. Scroll down until you see the Mail and click on it.
4. Toggle the switch button to the off position for “Show app notifications”.

Method 2: Using the Mail App

If you prefer to turn off mail notifications using the Mail app itself, follow these steps:

1. Launch the Mail app on your Windows 10.
2. Click on the gear icon located at the bottom of the left-hand pane.
3. Click on Notifications.
4. Toggle the switch to the off position for “Show notifications in the action center”.

If you want to completely turn off all notifications for the Mail app, toggle off the “Play a sound when a notification arrives” and “Show notification banners” options.

Method 3: Using Focus Assist

Focus Assist is another method to disable email notifications in Windows 10. Follow these steps to turn off mail notifications using Focus Assist:

1. Click on the Action Center icon located in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen or press Windows key + A.
2. Click on the Focus assist button (the moon icon).
3. Choose either “Priority Only” or “Alarms Only” option to switch off all notifications temporarily.

You can also customize the settings by clicking on “Customize your priority list” to allow certain apps or people to bypass the Focus Assist mode.

In conclusion, Windows 10 offers several ways to turn off email notifications, depending on your preferences. Whether you want to disable it through the Settings app, Mail app, or using Focus Assist, it’s easy and quick to do. By turning off mail notifications, you can avoid constant disruptions, increase productivity, and focus on the tasks that need your attention.
