Final Fantasy XIV, the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Square Enix, has been entertaining gamers for years with its immersive gameplay, captivating storyline, and breathtaking graphics. If you’ve always been curious about trying it out but don’t want to pay for it upfront, you’re in luck: Final Fantasy XIV offers a free trial that allows you to experience the game’s world for free up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime. Here is everything you need to know about how to try Final Fantasy XIV for free.

  1. Sign up for the Free Trial

To start your free trial, the first step is to create a Final Fantasy XIV account. Go to the official website and click the “Try for Free” button to sign up, which will prompt you to create a Square Enix account. From there, you’ll be able to download the game client and start playing the game.

  1. Choose Your Platform

Final Fantasy XIV is available on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, and Mac. Make sure to select the right version of the game when you download it to match the device you plan to play it on.

  1. Create Your Character

Once you’ve downloaded the game client, you’ll need to create your character. There are five races to choose from, including Hyur, Elezen, Lalafell, Miqo’te, and Roegadyn, each with its own unique appearances and abilities. You can also customize your character’s looks and pick a class, such as warrior, healer, or mage.

  1. Enjoy the Game

Once you’re in the game, you’re free to roam the virtual world of Eorzea. There are no restrictions on what you can do, so you are free to explore, complete quests, and battle monsters however you want. The only limit is that you can only level your character up to level 60 during the trial.

  1. Buy the Full Version

If you enjoy your free trial and want to continue playing, you can purchase the full version of the game. Your progress in the trial will carry over, so you won’t have to start over. Moreover, by purchasing the full game, you will unlock new features, additional content, and rewards.
