Alexa’s whisper mode is a new feature that allows you to whisper to Alexa and have her whisper back to you. This is particularly useful when you don’t want to wake up your family members or roommates while using Alexa. Here’s how you can set up Alexa’s whisper mode:

Step 1: Open the Alexa app

The first step is to open the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet. If you don’t have the Alexa app, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2: Go to Settings

Once you’re in the Alexa app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen. This will open the menu. From there, tap on “Settings.”

Step 3: Tap on Alexa Account

In the settings menu, tap on “Alexa Account.”

Step 4: Tap on Alexa Voice Responses

In the Alexa Account menu, tap on “Alexa Voice Responses.”

Step 5: Turn on Whispered Responses

In the Alexa Voice Responses menu, scroll down until you see the option for “Whispered Responses.” Tap on the toggle switch to turn it on.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully set up Alexa’s whisper mode. Now, whenever you whisper to Alexa, she will whisper back to you. This feature is particularly useful if you have a sleeping baby or if you don’t want to wake up your roommates while using Alexa.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
