In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s often necessary to send large files as email attachments. Whether it be high-quality images, videos, or important documents, emails remain a popular form of communication. However, most email services have a limit on the size of the attachments that can be sent. This can be frustrating when you need to send large files. In this article, we will discuss how to send large files as email attachments, so you can share your files with ease.

1. Use cloud storage services

One of the easiest ways to send large files as email attachments is by using cloud storage services. Services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive allow you to upload large files and share the link to the file via email. When you use cloud storage services, you won’t have to worry about exceeding the attachment limit, and the recipient can easily access the file by clicking on the link.

2. Compress your files

Another way to send large files as email attachments is by compressing the file. Compressing files reduces the file size, making it easier to send as an attachment. You can use software such as WinZip or 7-Zip to compress your files. Once compressed, attach the file to your email like any other attachment.

3. Use file transfer services

There are several file transfer services available that allow you to send large files as email attachments. These services include WeTransfer, SendSpace, and Hightail. With these services, you can upload your file, enter the recipient’s email address, and send the file. The recipient will receive an email with a link to download the file.

4. Split the file

If the file you need to send is exceptionally large, you can split the file into smaller parts and send them as separate attachments. You can use software like 7-Zip, WinRAR, or WinZip to split the file into smaller parts. Once you’ve split the file, attach each part to your email and send them to the recipient. Be sure to label each attachment properly so the recipient knows what file they are receiving.

5. Use FTP

Finally, you can use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to send large files as email attachments. FTP is often used by businesses to transfer large files securely. You’ll need to have access to an FTP server, which can be set up using software such as FileZilla. Once you have access to an FTP server, you can upload your file to the server and send the recipient a link to download the file.
